Welcome to The PFP on Substack
Whether you were with me before the transition or have found me here on Substack, I thought I'd share some info to give us a fresh start to this new chapter together.
Introduction
First of all, welcome!
For those of you who subscribed before Substack (i.e. back in the Mailchimp days) this is the new home for the Personal Finance Project. Here you can see all previous posts as well as download the most up-to-date templates. As with before, you will still receive the PFP Newsletter in your inbox twice monthly, and now you can access all of the content on Substack.com or the Substack mobile app.
And for those of you who are joining during the Substack era, of course I’m ecstatic to have you!
My name is Evan. You can read my profile here, and you can contact me here. Also, check out the About Page to learn more about the project and the journey.
Progressional Content
So far my content has all been foundational, exploring and explaining some of the most basic takes on personal finance in a way that acts as building blocks for future content. Because of this, I will be adding a prerequisite section to my past and future posts so that you are well equipped to read each new piece in the progression that is intended.
The PFP on Substack
For my OG (pre-Substack) subscribers, if you want to see The PFP content on Substack you will need to create an account. Otherwise, you can kick back and keep receiving the newsletter straight to your inbox.
On the desktop version, located along the bar at the top of the screen are tabs that I have used to categorize my content. The Template tab holds the most up-to-date version of the PFP template, and the finance related tabs are used to categorize my pieces (such as Savings, Financial Tracking, etc.).
Technically, each tab is considered to be a different newsletter under the PFP publication - so if you want to receive all of my content then be sure to check every newsletter box on the pop-up when you subscribe.
The Substack mobile app is slightly less robust and doesn’t include a menu bar with these different tabs. That being said, you can still use the app to access the PFP homepage and all of the posts.
I want to hear from you, so I have added the Feedback tab for you to share your thoughts with me. Please don’t be shy - the feedback I get from you will be reflected in my future work for your benefit. 😁
Whats to Come
My content is totally free, and I post twice monthly (specifically, on the 1st and 15th of every month at 9am EST). Every new post and template update will be categorized into their related tabs.
I’ve been considering dropping the emojis (see my first 7 posts for the emoji era). I’ll write a couple of pieces without fewer and will see where things go from there, so if you have an opinion for or against the emojis, speak up.
Other than that, enjoy and share!
