Before I left for Uruguay, I wrote and scheduled a post for today, the 15th at 9 am sharp, as always. Honestly, I didn’t love my work (and I didn’t think you would either) so I cut it, and I’m just free-styling instead.
Future Content and Release Schedule
First things first, I’m dropping the strict 1st/15th release schedule. I will deliver four pieces per month instead, now at no specific date or time.
Four pieces? Yes, but different.
Interviews
First, I’m expanding beyond the personal stories to include those of the fascinating people from far and wide who are championing their own lives. Of course, we’re still talking finance, but the expansion doubles down on my approach of illustrating personal finance as a gateway to deeper self-awareness, personal development, and understanding of the world around us. Perhaps, audio versions of my interviews will be shared too - we’ll see.
Maybe you could be my next interviewee! What has personal finance taught you about living your best life, your risk appetite, or your biggest fears? What financial feats have you achieved that other readers could learn from or find fascinating? What unique chapters of your life - like joining the military, couch surfing, or competing in the Sepak Takraw Championships - made your financial story unique?
Does anything come to mind? Let’s connect!

Life Design
Second, I will be sharing my life design and geo-arbitrage research.
… what?
As I mentioned briefly in my last post, my future holds some unique lifestyles following the principles of life design outlined in The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris. Though I don’t exactly know how it’ll come out on paper, I will be doing tons of research on the cost of living in different countries living various lifestyles, and you will have a front-row seat to the construction of my research database.
My Finances
This is what you’re more familiar with, but I’m going to (re-)open my content to some of the more numbers-oriented practices of tracking and budgeting. I’ll give you copies of my financial tools (along with the streamlined ones in the Template tab), with some insights into why I do what I do.
Boring? Probably. But for those who are interested, it’ll be a highly detailed look at some pretty intensive personal financial practices.
PFP Makeover
The PFP name has been around for too long, and it’s slowly killing me. It’s a relatable feeling to almost everyone who has had to name an idea or business, but I took the often shared advice of picking something and just getting started. Well, it was great advice because I started and have been making progress ever since.
A new name and look (and maybe a website 🤫) are underway, and I think it’ll create a more engaging and unique identity for us to share.
To any of my readers who like to design, and think a small-scale design project like this would be fun, shoot me a message! I love to collaborate. (email: eclementino0320@hotmail.com)
Cuts to the Roster
Here’s some inside info - Substack gives me all the stats on subscriber engagement. I know who opens and who doesn’t, and I’m especially aware of who my top subscribers are (love u guys).
You’re all ranked out of 5 stars, and if you’re a zero or a one, sorry friend but you’re getting the cut. It’s nothing personal, and I imagine your junk mail (or dare I say your inbox) will thank me for stopping my additions to the 1000+ unopened emails.
All jokes aside, I appreciate your subscription and being part of my journey, but in my pursuit of an engaging and interactive subscriber base, I need to shed those who don’t fit the bill. Some of you were automatically added as part of my OG subscribers (a decision made from prior conversations with you about the idea) and for those specific people, an extra thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts with you in the early days of the newsletter.
I’ll be sending out an email in the next couple of days to those whom I’ve kept around. If you want back in you can always resubscribe! (and if you do, please please please reach out because it would help me understand the ranking system better).
No finance today! Thanks for reading.
